Welcome to Displacement Parkour

Displacement is group of like-minded people with a desire to work with and promote Parkour.

It was formed in 2008 after a performance for Dublin's Fringe Festival with the realization that this art form desperately needed a direction in Ireland and was created with the aim of "representing and furthering the evolution of Parkour, through teaching and performance”.

“To push the boundaries, to learn as much as possible and to make that information freely available"

This has been achieved through various media works, performances, talks, events, workshops and classes.

Displacement is actively involved within the Irish community, posting and organizing "jams" meet ups and events.
we took it upon ourselves to set up Ireland's first full time parkour class in early 2009, as well as helping to set up some college societies along the way.
It is through our classes that we try to pass on the knowledge we have received from our on-going training with the founding members of the art, in a fun and safe way.

We are currently running 5 classes per week, open classes available to all skill levels (ages 5+) at Excel Gymnastics in Celbridge, County Kildare, an Outdoor adult classes (18+) in Dublin City Center and 2 All ages Outdoor classes in various locations around Dublin.

We feel that these classes, the information shared with in, the bonds formed and the love of movement is by far our greatest achievement.

Outside of the Irish community, Displacement is also a founding member of the newly formed Performance Parkour Network. An international organisation for  Traceurs (parkour practitioners), performers and teachers that interested in working with Parkour in a performance context to make contacts, hear news and plan collaborations.
